Features Overview

This plugin offers many features, I'll list them below together with a short description of their purpose and a link to their respective Settings Category in the documentations.

Basic Features

Bigger Map Support

Offers support for bigger Region Map Sizes that exceed the default size of 480x320.

Location Highlighting

Highlights the current location the cursor is on.

Unvisited Location Marking

Puts an unvisited Graphic on the locations that haven't been visited yet. (Only applies to locations with a fly spot defined.)

Pokedex Area Map Scrolling

Just like the Region Map, the Pokedex Area Page allows you to scroll the map as well (if applyable).

Smart Option Selection

While on the Region Map, the script will remember the last chosen option in the choice menus.

Modular UI and Pokedex Data Page Compatibility

Adds full compatibility to work together with Lucidious89's Modular UI Scenes and Lucidious89's In-Depth Pokedex Data Page plugins.

New Features (Added up to v3.2.0)

District Names

Setup a different Region Name for certain parts on the Region Map.

Replace Unvisited Locations with "???"

Setup a placeholder text for unvisited maps so the name of unvisited maps are not shown yet on the Region Map.

Multiple Mode Option Menu

Gives a menu with all available Modes instead of having to press the "Change Mode" button several times to get to the wanted Mode.

Custom Music

Change the music that plays while the Region Map is active.

Bigger Screen Size Support

Gives support for game screen sizes taht are different than the default size of 512x384.

Detailed Location Preview

Setup and show detailed information about location on your Region Map.

Region Map Switch with menu

Switch between different Regions in your game.

Change the UI by Region

Setup different UI Graphics for each Region in your game.

Game Translation Support

Supports game translation if any has been applied.

Roaming Icons

Shows Roaming Species on the Region Map (Roaming Mode) if any are active.

Location Searcher with filter option

Gives a list with available locations and allows you to search through them as well.

Fake Locations

Setup multiple Town Map positions for a single Game Map.

Progress Counter

Shows the progress of Maps visited, Trainers defeated, Items found and Species seen and caught.

Mouse Support

Allows you to select a location, move the map and interact with a location (like open a Location, Quest, Berry or Trainer Preview or select that location to Fly to).

Region Map Time Dependable

Setup a Region Map Graphic dependable on the current time in the Game.

Extended Location Preview

Shows more information of a location if a Location Preview has been setup for that location (and enabled globally).

Region Map Zooming

You can zoom in/out on the Region Map.

Preview Animations

Preview animations are more smooth now rather than being shown instantly.

Region Map Connecting

Setup several regions and connect them together to make it look like they form a bigger Map together.

Trainer Mode

Tracks and shows Trainers that are ready for rematches. Supports different setup methods.

Features that require other plugins:

Quest Icons and Quest Preview

  • Requires: Modern Quest System

  • These Icons will only show on the Quest Mode, if there are any active quests and if those or any quests have a map position defined.

Poke Gear Themes

  • Requires: Lin's Poke Gear Themes

  • All Graphics required by the Region Map Script are included with this plugin in their respective Theme Folder.

Weather Preview
Set the Controls Screen
  • Requires: FL's Set the Control Screen
  • The Region Map Script will convert the Buttons you've set for each Action to the actual keyboard key that was set by this Plugin. For ex.: If you set the "space" key for "Action", in the Region Map, it'll then say "Space: Show Info".
Berry Icons and Preview
  • Requires: Wrigty12's Berry Planting Improvements
  • Shows a preview of Berries you have planted across location in your Region. It'll give basic information like berry name and their growth state. This includes Icons for each Growth State as well.
